Trespassing is a misdemeanor.  It is illegal to threaten deadly force to stop or prevent a misdemeanor.  Do your best to get out peacefully, but get video/names/license plates/etc., and then press charges.  After running the criminal system to completion, fire up the civil suit engine and sue for emotional distress.

In a land of law and order, you are correct. There are places in the Valley where they don't play that. Please don't push your luck while riding in Jackson County.

Glenn, the other problem you may encounter with that train of thought is the sheriff's department may refuse to respond to the situation. I've personally had this happen.
