I think I might swing by if that buddy is the long haired hippie that I think it might be!

LawnmowerRG

Thinking I will make it tonight. Do I need any tools for this valve thingy.

Modest Goals Possibly May Not.

Nope, I've got everything we need

Too bad that fancy new grill can't get wet! Guess someone needs to stop and get pizzas!   :D

That should maybe be somebody else's  responsibility tonight.

Home safe, and almost dry, even!  Thanks Ben for the hospitality, and the opportunity to visit with some old friends, and meet a few new ones. I'll try to make it to another one soon!

Another good get together at TNWC. Maydaymike gets an attaboy for being on two wheels.

P.S. it takes 14 attaboys to make up for one "awshit"

Thanks to everyone who came out last night in the rain! We adjusted valves, timed an engine, broke a chain and realized I ordered the wrong parts...

All in all, a mostly successful evening!

Fencejumper09

It was a great night of getting shit done!

Once I got there we figured out the subpar work from the other group!

Should probably check that book of fire fuel to understand the timing!! 2 teeth off!

What is going on over there?!?

Spring is right around the corner and the evenings are warming up again. That means it's time to get wrench club up and humming once more!

Unfortunately, my family will be moving soon and it's unlikely that I'll be able to find another house with a detached garage. While workshop space is a priority on my check list, I'll be unable to host for a month or so while things are in flux. I know @IceCold4x4 has offered to host a few times in the past and he has some projects we could learn on. Any other takers?

Since this will likely be my garage's swansong wrench party, how do the usual suspects feel about having it on a Saturday afternoon and doing bbq? Working on rebuilding my 2T dirt bike and theoretically that's something interesting that we could finish in a few hours. As always, additional projects are welcome. I'm thinking March 30th as a tentative date if there's interest.

Fencejumper09

I can't do March 30th but maybe I can host in the future if people don't mind hanging in a basement!

To be fair, i did say theoretically.

But you're right, maybe we'll have it ready for the top end and go from there

So I would like to go ahead and get a TNWC on the schedule for next week at my place in Homewood (PM for address)

I have a buddy with a 2004 Harley Sportster 883 with starting issues.  The bike has been sitting up for a couple years on a battery tender so I believe a carb clean and rebuild will be necessary.

Anyone with some experience working on these Harley's will be appreciated and paid in shitty pizza and watered down beers.

Let me know if you can make it so I know how much pizza and beer I need to get!

As always, feel free to bring any projects you have laying around and I promise not to use the hammer on them!
