Gettysburg trip

Ok my wife,myself and another couple is planning a trip to Gettysburg Pa, Arlington Cemetery in late spring. Our plan is to slab it to Gettysburg spend a cple days there. Then go to Arlington. Time will not or will we try to take in DC on this trip.  Is there any out of the way place that is a must see (not in DC) Places to eat or stay in this area? Our plan is to take 2 days up, 2 days in Gettysburg/Arlington and then 5 days back home, coming down BRP ....recommend eating places, places to stay,  places to see ...there will be 3 bikes on this trip, looking at late April mid May.....
