Another Saturday, another ride.

Meet:  Shell, 26804 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739

Time:  8:00
KSU :  8:30

We'll meet at the Shell Station in Ardmore.  Be ready to depart, gassed up, by 8:30.  We will Zig Zag our way to The Old Delina Country Stor on a bunch of twisty and sometimes narrow and bumpy back roads.  We will stay on the pavement.

As always, ride your own pace.  We'll wait at turns.  Hopefully I'll do a better job at this than the last ride ::)

Lunch will be at the Old Delina Country Stor.  It will be an early lunch to try to beat the rush and also beat the heat.  We'll ride some more after lunch but be be finished back in Ardmore by around 1:30 or 2.

Early lunch will work. Continuing up to the house just south of the Kentucky line.

Do you have a map of the route planed to be taken?
What's your ETA at the Old Delina Country Store?
I'm trying to decide what bike to ride Saturday: the Star Venture Transcontinental with Aly riding pillion or ride solo on the Kawasaki W800 Cafe we recently bought at Allsport.
The SVTC is fine on bumpy, twisty back roads, but I avoid gravel roads like the plague when riding that almost 1000 pound Yamaha.

I do not have a map.  If I did it would look like a baby playing with a crayon.  I expect to get to Delina between 10:15 and 10:30.

I'm going to miss this one. Too many home projects. One being that I messed up the fuel gauge sending unit on the CB. Have to pull it out and reinstall it the correct way. Y'all be safe!

Hate that I have to miss this one. I really enjoy riding in that area.

After I posted this ride I didn't get a lot of response.  I expected 3 or 4 people to show up.

Well we ended up with 1i riders on 10 bikes.

We zigged and zagged on our way to Delina.

Last year half of the road was washed out here.

We got to the Old Delina Country Stor around 10:15

The staff was hanging around on the front porch because they had no customers.  We timed it well.  They gave us the room in the back.  Not long after we got there a bunch more people including a biker group showed up and filled the place up.

I didn't get any pics inside.  Hopefully someone else did.  The food and service was great as usual.

Afterwards most of the group headed off but a few followed me for more riding.

Towards the end of the ride Stephen took the lead to show me some new (to me) roads.

Natalee on her DR200 in front of me.

We went through a couple of tunnels.

Thanks everyone who came out for this ride.  I enjoyed riding and talking to you.  Hopefully we can do this again before too long.

I did take a few photos, but in that moment, I was actually shooting video!  Enjoy!
