I listened to a podcast with the founders of Janus motorcycles.  I had seen Janus motorcycles before, but thought they were overpriced for what they were selling.

It's really interesting how they founded the company and how they wanted to fix what they thought were problems with current bikes while still building a basic bike.  The fuel tank is aluminum and all the shiny bits are stainless steel. The engine is based on the Honda CG250 which is known for its reliability.  All the metal and leather work is done by Amish in Indiana.  The wet weight of these bikes is ~260 lbs which lighter than most 250 dual sports.

I've linked the podcast and a Youtube video below.

I've been intrigued by them for a while.

If you buy one, you will have to let the general public believe you are riding an ancient motorcycle.  The look of disappointment when they find out it is a new bike is something we can't let happen.   ???
