10 riders showed up at the usual meeting place in Ardmore. Rich ( @2372ighost ) showed up on a bike no one was expecting.

What is it?

It was a bike that I had never heard of before. A Bashan Brozz 250. Yes its one of those dirt cheap Chinese bikes. Rich paid about 1/3 what a KLX230 would cost. It has a clone of an old Honda aircooled 230cc motor. Unlike pretty much any modern dual sport bike this one has a comfortable seat and a 3 gallon gas tank. Also, inverted forks, dual discs with steel braided brake lines, a tach, fuel guage, electric and kick starting. How about a key fob? That can start the bike remotely.

I was impressed. But how would it actually perform? This was the first real ride on this bike for Rich.

We also had a CRF450, my KLX250, a DR650.

TWO RE Himalayans, a KTM, a DR200, CRF250L and BMW 950GS.

The morning ride was mostly paved country roads with a few dirt roads thrown in.

Most of the paved roads had no centerline and were a bit rough.

My route was out in the boonies and didn't take us past any convenient stopping places. I probably waited too long for the first break but finally stopped on the side of a deserted "goat trail".

We were stopped there for probably 15 minutes and not a single car came by.

TWO Himalayans in one place!

We headed for the lunch stop. Mostly, but not all pavement.

When we got to Lynneville I saw some vintage cars and stopped to take a pic.

At this point @thinwater took the lead as I didn't know exactly where the lunch stop was. I saw a bunch more vintage cars as we rode through town. I'm guessing there was a car club having lunch at Soda Pop Junction.

Our lunch stop was 31 south BBQ just outside of Lynneville.

Great food and service.  Great place for a lunch stop.

More riding after lunch with Stephen leading the way.

Corn field crossing.

Ya think we might be in farm country?

This poor guy was looking for tape, which I had. Then told me he was fixing a rubber fuel line!

A rare shot of Win's front side.

Crossing the river after almost twelve hours!
Thanks again to our leaders and our sweeper(not me this time)!

I'm 2.2 rides behind getting through footage, I'll get there.  Still have to set up an account where I can just dump photos. Great pictures, of a good time, thanks for all that participated in making it that way.  Nice ride reports.

Let me try to finish this before I ride out of town and forget.

Yes, this was a dual sport ride.

We finished off back at the Shell station in Ardmore. After BSing a bit I headed home. It looked like a really nice sunset but I never had a really good vantage point to take pics. I took one while riding.

And this one while stopped at a light.

My Odo was at 272 miles when I got home with 70 of that riding to and from the meeting place. I'm glad I got the Seat Concepts seat because my ass would have been in severe pain with the stock seat.

Thank you klaviator & thinwater for leading this ride.
Got home just as the sun was setting on another great ride.

So how did the Bashan Brozz 250 do on the ride?

Nice to see our folks out there and having fun!

Nice Goat

I know that spot with the walking bridge.  That is some excellent riding in that area.
