Title: Homebase Madison
Post by: mega1e6 on August 10, 2016, 09:40:48 PM
I start my rides in Madison AL.
I ride all types of rides.
Trail > CRF250X  (lowered)
Dual Sport > XR650L  (Clark tank)
Sport Touring > Concours 1000  ('06)
Iron Butt > Gold Wing ( longest ride so far 1100 miles in 17 hours)

Got my first bike when I was 18 in 1979 (do the math).

I really want to dual sport Talladega Forest.

If your in the area and looking for someone to ride with let me know.

Welcome from East of Huntsville. There's a good sized group from this area on here. Quite a few street riders and a good bit of dirt/dual sport. Have you ridden at CMRA?

Welcome for Birmingham! Talladega National Forest is a great place to dual sport. Went with my dad for Father's day and we had a wonderful adventure. Be careful about the trails you ride though. They close them randomly and aren't very well marked as to which are open and which aren't. For what it's worth, the best riding we had that day was in spots where we weren't supposed to be there. We wound up having a nice friendly conversation with the Ranger who enlightened us on the error of our ways but I don't think they're too serious about it as long as you're not being destructive.

Welcome from Birmingham! I beat you to 18 by three years.
Don't do the math.
