Title: The New Bamarides, a running history.
Post by: klaviator on September 16, 2015, 04:57:48 PM
On September 9, 2015, after about a week of no Bamarides, the New Bamarides Forum was up and running.  Since that time the amount of activity has been amazing.  I thought it would be nice to keep a running history of what happens starting from that date.  Here's the rules.  Any group ride or event can be recorded here.  Any solo ride is eligible as well as long as you do a ride report on this forum.  Please post the date of the ride/event, write a few sentences describing it and post a link to the ride report or event thread as appropriate.  Post a pic or two as well.  No more than 2 pics.  I want to keep this short.  This is not meant as a replacement for actual ride reports.

No rides/events from before around Sept 1, 2015.  This should cover the period when the forum was down.

I'm going to add, No Comments Here - jrobinson

If you wish to make a comment, go to the original thread.

I did a solo ride on Labor Day weekend 2014 on my KLR.  I camped at at Iron Horse Motorcycle resort and rode to Deal's Gap as well as some paved and dirt roads in the area.  I also did some exploring in NE Alabama on the way home.

Kris Cook posted up a ride "Toolin Around Birmingham" back in 2011. The ride was to ride around the Ham on a cool December day. At this time there were only a few N. Alabama riders on the forum so I made several trips to Bham to ride with other members. I posted the I was heading down and Mill was quick to setup a meet point for us to ride together from Gadsden. I was on my 99 Electraglide and he was on his VFR. We weren't a Harley rider and a sportbike rider riding together. It was 2 riders that happened to be on a Harley and sportbike.

As you can see from the pics, there were riders on every style bike showing up to ride. We had 18 bikes show up, some traveling 100 miles to follow our lovely Ms. Cook around Bham on a cool December 18 in 2011.

Slideshow are pics I took and the video provided by Yamahamer.
