Today may have been the best of the rest of 2017 for a ride. I took the Streetbob instead of the KLR today, hoping to catch some raindrops to soften the exoskeletons stuck to my Lucky Green tank...
Swirling winds, leaves 🍁 🍁 everywhere, and fall colors abound. I left Trussville and cut across through Clay, Palmerdale, and Pinson; zig zagged my way up through Warrior and Corner. Met up with my brother and his Yamaha Bolt, then rode through Hayden, Sulfur Springs, and Blount Springs stopping in at Top Hat 🎩 for a Deluxe Cheeseburger. The place was empty due to everyone else staying home watching the Tide.
After finishing the 1/2 lb cheeseburger, Me and Bro parted ways. He headed back to Corner and I headed Northeast over County Rd 9 and through Cox Cove, Wallstown Rd., over 75 and 79 to Clay Palmerdale and back to Trussville. This time of year, the Appalachian foothills make you appreciate living in Alabama.

Looking at doing some dual-sporting Monday for a few hours before work if you've got the KLR back together.
Sure. Let me know, i’m Free.

Most excellent shade of green. Thanks for sharing the route too... those are some great areas to ride.
Cox Cove Rd. and Wallstown Rd. are not real conducive for a slammed bobber, but take it slow and the scenery is rewarding. A dual sport smooths those roads out pretty well.
Looks like a great ride and good weather!
