Title: Butt testing a new seat
Post by: catang5oh on March 19, 2018, 02:03:08 PM
I bought a 15 Wing and the wife hates the seat. So, I looked around and found the F6B seat doesn't have the huge rider backrest hump like the Wing. eBay here we come, sources a cheap F6B seat out of Florida.

Made a slight mod to fit it on the Wing.

Installed and ready for butt check!

We rode about 150 miles Saturday to Calera and back via every backroad I could find, and 25 of course for the smile miles!

Then Sunday we lit out to the Awful waffle for our routine Sunday breakfast.

On the road again, belly full and sunshine out.

I'm on 411 in Moody so where's this road go, Little river canyon in about 120 miles, WTH!

Made a stop in Leesburg for gas, police car at the pump and all the officers looking at it?

What do you know, Johnny PoPo locked his keys in the car, and his spare is in there too.

5 officers later, still no luck! Damn good thing they are cops and not crooks!

I gave them a few pointers, since my employees at work love to lock the keys in brand new cars on a daily basis! Then we rode on.

Little River was quiet today, only a few folks out.

Falls looked nice.

We strolled around and checked the place out, then headed through Ft Payne and down 11.

Token snack at Jefferson's in Gadsden.

The butt check went well, little over 400 miles and a happy wife!

So, now to take out a second mortgage and buy a new seat for a new bike!

Keeping the wife comfortable and happy is worth the price!  Nice "shakedown" cruise, and hopefully karma for helping the officers will return to you.

Always nice to go riding with the loved one.
