Title: Hello from Moody, AL
Post by: jwdmotorsports on December 12, 2015, 08:03:48 PM
Stopped to introduce myself to a neighbor in my new neighborhood with a garage full of motorcycles and dirt bikes and he pointed me to this forum. I believe he is Brian A on here.

I usually hang out over on the dotheton forum.

I currently have a 2004 Suzuki GS500 and a 1972 Honda CB350 (http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=67864.0) that I'm currently working on.

Welcome to the site. Love the CB too

Thanks.
If the CB turns out as grand as it is in my head it oughta be pretty cool. But, in the words of someone I saw on a forum years ago, "my projects always look like lightening McQueen in my head but turn out looking more like mater".

Ha that's funny. I'd love to have a CB to make ugly. What's the plan with it?

Plan is to build a tracker/brat (whatever you call it) out of it. Something like the attached picture.
Would like to paint it the orange color that was one of the color options for that year.
Upgraded suspension. Piecing together a CBR954 front end for it. Plan to use a Harley hub (same axle diameter) and lace up an 18" wheel to match the back. Probably Hagon shocks on the back.
Mikuni carbs and custom 2-1 exhaust.

Welcome from N. Al

Keep an eye on that Brian guy. He'll have you out riding all over the US and even other countries. Then you'll have more bikes than you'll know what to do with.

Holler if you have any questions.

I'm New Model PQ. I sit in the office above the production office on line 1. So, not too far from you. However, I'm an interior guy, so I don't venture out into weld too often.

Welcome from a Moody Old timer. Moved there in 76 when yalls hood was a community of dairy cows. Live just a little outside the back of your neighborhood.  Anyway I'm on the Blue BMW GS most of the time. Lets Ride.

I'll keep an eye out for you. If you're back on Carl Jones I've probably ridden past your house.
I've been in Moody since 2005. Not as long as you but I have seen several things change since I've been here.
