Pulled the 250 out of the moth balls. Been parked for about 5 years. Started after about 20 kicks. Spent a couple hours freeing up the clutch cable. After a few laps across  the yard, a full tank and a quick cleaning, I headed up the mountain. Adding the bike and rider's age is 105.

I have a bike I need to sell and can get it there Thursday/Friday, but I'm not sure if I can get back on Sunday afternoon. Can somebody ride or haul it some where and I'll pick it up on Monday?

When are you setting up? I'll be there most of the day on Friday.

Update on the Swap Meet:

We are going to be in Booth K-8. Same row as the fall Vintage Swap Meet, but a few spaces closer to the gate.

Plan to drop by and visit! Kris and I will be manning(womanning ??) the booth.

If you want to park a bike for sale, let me know ahead of time.

Quote from: Merkur Man on March 19, 2025, 10:03:43 PMWill the booth be set up on Friday, the 4th? That is the day for practice, and the tickets are the cheapest.
Have you heard if any of the manufactures will be there offering demo rides? Suzuki is a sponsor of MotoAmerica., but they do not show demo rides listed on their web site.
I haven't heard anything about vendors or demo rides. We are setting up on Thursday afternoon, so we will be there for the whole event. Hope to see you there!

We had six BMWs ride south from Huntsville to Kat Daddy's BBQ in Bremen on the 2nd Saturday of March. We rode 76 miles in two hours along many county backroads, including climbing the tight switchbacks on Six Mile Creek Rd {below AL-36 & AL-67}. We were greeted by seven early birds on the front porch awaiting our arrival on a pleasant 60F Saturday morning as more flowers and trees are showing their colors! Then more folks arrived from other statewide locations bringing the total to 30 (nearly as many as February's MOAL R2E to Bama Bucks in Boaz)! The staff was a little overwhelmed since I told them on Friday to expect ten, but the BBQ was worth waiting for and P&K ordered more ribs for the weekend. We had time to share stories of future travels and Vance Harrelson (the co-chair of the National BMWMOA Rally) presented folks with new Rhythm & Ride Rally stickers. We had at least eight lady members accompanying their male partners, but not everyone was required to be on 2-wheels.
April's R2E is planned for The Bright Star Restaurant in Bessemer; I'm waiting to hear back about a reservation possibility for a big group of hungry bikers.
