Garmin Montana Spanner Mode

I'm probably the only person with one of these that didn't know this, but if you put the Montana in Spanner Mode you can plug into a USB port and it will charge and let you navigate at the same time. I was looking for a way to use it in my truck and came across that.

Setup--> System --> Interface --> Garmin Spanner      when it asks "mass storage device" hit "no"

This is a huge help.  On my BRP trip, I was upset that I could not charge and navigate at the same time.

Why did they name it "spanner mode" anyway?  No wonder I couldn't figure it out.
