North Alabama Riding Suggestions Wanted

I don't get up into the northern section of the state often, but am going to be in Boaz Saturday morning for a fundraiser that will ride around Sand Mountain.  I will be done by mid-afternoon and would like to do some more area riding before finding a hotel for the night.

I could stay around the Guntersville/Scottsboro area or more west towards Huntsville or even the Shoals (though probably not that far)
The plan is to stay overnight and then get in a Sunday morning ride before going back to Montgomery.

I cannot find my copy of Motorcycling Alabama to look at suggested ride loops.  Since several of you live up that way and I have seen pics of some nice rides in either Alabama or southern Tennessee, I'd love to hear some suggestions.
