Salvage title

I'm looking for information about getting a salvage titled bike tagged.   If I understand correctly, the salvage title has to be converted to a rebuilt title and a licensed rebuilder  has to be involed.

Any info would helpful especially if anyone can point me to one of the licensed rebuilders.

Cycle sports in Munford use to help handle them, they sell salvage bikes. I haven't been around there in a while but it is worth a shot. Most body shops carry a rebuilder license, or at least use to.

Cycle Sports said that they don't do that but, they referred me to someone who may.  I haven't contacted that person yet.

A man at my insurance agents office told me that it is less involved for an individual to convert their own title than for a business that is going to resell the vehical.  He says he has the forms needed.  I'm definitely going to look into it for my bike and will report here how that goes. Fingers crossed.
