Been riding since early 1970's, first Yamaha 90, then Honda 550-Four, and from then on GoldWings all the way.  The 1800 Wings are SO much better than the previous generations in handling, power, overall economy, comfort!, and subjectively, looks.  Pretty quick on the draw, too.
My little history includes taking half the rider instructor course down in Montevallo.  Did all the riding part but they had us riding in the rain in January all day long for 3 days and it's in the teen's outside.  Needless to say, I got sick and had to go home, so missed out on most of the classroom stuff.  (That part was boring anyway.)
I don't mind being tailgunner, ride captain, or just loaf along with everyone else.  Everyone is responsible for their own ride!!!  Can't stress that enough.

Usually, if it's safe, some demon enters my body and takes over when we get into the twisties.  But, sometimes I just want to loaf through them, too.  Been a member of a few MC clubs but never a 1%'er.  Not my thing.  I even joined GWRRA for about a year and took all their classes too, until I just couldn't take it anymore.  :)  The people were great but the silly <censored> rules just gotta go.  Or I do.  So, I did.  :)

I enjoy putting together rides that favor mountain tops, twisty valley roads, or laid back cruises to do some leaf-peeping.  Taken the riders safety courses (the one I gave Alabama $350 for and couldn't finish), intermediate and advanced, nearly every year just for refreshers until about 5 years ago.  Got divorced after 20 years and lost the desire to ride much.  I still do the required New Years Day ride, even if it's just around the block.  That counts!  :)

Always looking to improve riding skills.

We used to ride every Saturday, year round, and be on the road 7 or 8 hours during the summer and maybe 5 or 6 hours during the winter, rain or shine.

Longest trip in my little lifetime was 5,500 miles in 22 days.  Got to see 1) her family in Ohio, 2) last motorcycle rally at the Honda Bike Factory in Ohio when you could still tour the plants, 3) Big Sturgis, 4) Grand Tetons, 5) Yellowstone National Park, 6) some freakin' AWESOME roads out west [but you GOTTA plan your fuel stops!], nd some more fun stuff on the way back to Alabama.

I know this is way too much for an intro.  Who cares?
