Sent you a PM Johnny...

I am on a WR426F! I'm thinking I should be able to handle it. I have done some rough stuff on the WR.
Now I just need to find my riding armor. Seemed to misplace it...

What are you guys riding? (For those if you going)

If I go, it will be on a Africa Twin.
What we've got here, is a failure to communicate.  Strother Martin as the Captain in Cool Hand Luke.
Endeavor to persevere! Chief Dan George as Lone Watie in The Outlaw Josey Wales.

There should be 3 levels of trails. There's bypass for some of the harder sections. (according to their FB page.)

Video of dirt training at Hollytree. Start at 5:50 to see hill climb.

Would this bring more interest if this were a day ride due to the cold camping temps? Which day Saturday or Sunday would you all prefer?

I think it's worth mentioning that no one has to camp, ride the difficult trails, night ride or anything else for that matter. Just show up and hang out, ride a little or ride a lot.

I'm thinking some grass tracking the rally cross course is going to be the bomb. Who's with me?

I agree with Mulley. If you have a dirt/ds bike, there is something for everyone at the park. Everything from a big flat field to learn how to ride to the hardest single track you've ever ridden. Come ride 5 minutes or all weekend.

Great point guys! I guess I didn't make it clear that we plan to do a good bit of shooting of the shit while we are there!

I have updated the first post with some info!

I plan to be at Hollytree. I'm not sure if I'll be riding, but I do want to get some pics and video.

I'm only about 5 miles away, so if anyone needs repairs, I have tools you can borrow.

Here's a video from the race they had there about 2 years ago. I'm not sure how much of this is part of the trails cut. You can see the open field. When he crosses the road, he's in the area of the easy trails that have been cut.  Racing starts at 0:33. http://www.motorcyclealabama.com/rides/index.php?topic=767.msg6047#msg6047

Who can bring some firewood? I'll help pay for it.

I have about half a cord you can have, but it is old and maybe dry. Plus you have to haul it up the "cliff" that is my back yard. I do have a wheelbarrow you can borrow. I'll be home by 3:30 today. Remlap area.

The store at Hollytree is closed, no food or gas. Gurley is closest food/fuel, 13 miles.

I live 5 miles from the park and may be able to get away for a few hours.

Fair warning -- if you get hurt, I'm the one that comes to scoop you up and throw you in Air Evac. If you need CPR, sorry, you're gonna die.  :)

If you need tools or repair to bikes while here, I have a few tools to get you back going.

thanks Johnny!

is there any firewood for sale up there.? it would be great if we could grab a load after unloading bikes!
just give 'er the berries !

I'm cutting some trees down at my house tomorrow. Yall are welcome to all you want. I may have some that's been cut and is seasoned to get the fire started. How much do you want?
