Anyone who has followed racing in the 60's and 70's should know Nobby, wrench to most of the biggest names in international racing during that time.

I got to meet him about 20 years ago when he was helping my friends Alex and Bob with their Norton Manx racing bikes as part of Bob's Champagne Norton Racing Team. I spent many miles in the van driving to races and working in the pits with him.
Watched a bunch of F1 and MotoGP with him. When they came to race at Barber, Nobby and Alex would stay at our house.
He was full of great stories from international racing, but he was as down to earth as you could get. He treated everyone equally, he never used his fame or boasted about his past. Just a great guy to spend time with.
