I'll preface part of the dirty story by stating that a little dose of humility may be good for the soul, but it can dang near kill you too.  Props to the young healthy people....hat-tip Griff.  In fairness, the old healthy dude helped pull me out of the hole too....hat-tip lugnut.  If adventure truly is adversity in retrospect, we had a grand adventure.
